How can my band play at the festival?
As much as People Festival is encouraging every band to reach our community through its talents, we cannot guarantee every band play at the festival. The best place to begin is by joining the PEOPLE Fest tour that begins in April. Click here to sign up!
Will you be selling food at the festival?
Yes. There will be several food vendors selling fair-type food and international cuisine, such as BBQ, tacos, pizza, shaved ice, etc.
Can we bring outside food or drinks into the festival?
Yes, except alcohol and illegal drugs.
Is there a curfew?
Yes. The noise curfew is from 11pm to 7am at the amphitheater and 9pm to 7am at the Waterfront Park. No matter what time of day, children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
Am I allowed to distribute flyers or information about my organization, band, or ministry at the festival?
Any advertising or distribution within the festival grounds must be approved by management. Many of our vendors have paid money for booth space. Also, it is our responsibility to assure that the information distributed at the festival is in accordance with the Word of God and PEOPLE Fest goals.
Can I sell stuff at the festival?
If you have a product that you would like to sell at the festival, you must complete and submit a Vendor Application. (There are fees and guidelines that must be followed.) If you are an artist who is performing at the festival, please contact us for information on setting up a merchandise table. Unauthorized sale or distribution of products, services, or literature is strictly forbidden. Are skateboards or rollerblades allowed?
Although the ministry team will have a skate park set up for their professional skaters, the public will not be allowed to ride on their equipment. However, there is a skate park at the Waterfront Park that will remain open to the public free of charge.
What is there to do outside the festival?
The local town of Martinez is known for its antique shops, dining, and parks. The surrounding cities are also full of activities, dining, and shopping. Check out the http://www.cityofmartinez.org/ and http://www.sfgate.com/eguide/ for more information. What's the weather like? How should I dress? Statistically, the average daytime high for the weekend is 84°, while the average overnight low is 56°.
Is there moshing allowed?
Technically, no, but that depends on your definition of "moshing". Bumping against one another and jumping in place (even in an excited manner) is allowable, However, you may not push (with arms extended), kick, punch, or otherwise purposefully try to cause injury to another person. Stage diving or crowd surfing is not allowed under any circumstances.
Are there parking fees?
No. There is free parking at the Waterfront Park, however it is limited. Area streets are also great places to park and they’re just an easy walk away-Please follow Martinez city parking guidelines.
Can I bring my pet?
At Martinez Waterfront Park pets are allowed on leashes (you are also responsible for cleaning up after them). However inside the PEOPLE Fest fenced-off zones, pets will not be allowed.
Is there going to be another PEOPLE Fest?
