Art Gallery Submission Form

The PEOPLE Fest Gallery desires to inspire both young and merging artist to use their talents as an expression of their Christian faith, whether that expression is implicit or overt. We are looking for artists willing to take risks: creating work that demonstrates a meaningful struggle with understanding self and faith, and reflects a sense of the community that surrounds them. The gallery is seeking provocative, intelligent pieces that show equal care for concept and craftsmanship. The atmosphere of the gallery will be such that encourages informal response and discussion. At the PEOPLE Fest Gallery, we hope you’ll share with us your observations and reflections as, we offer up our talents to the glory of the Kingdom of God.

Eligibility:The committee will only consider original works of art. Media: Any media will be considered for submission and display. Works must be ready to hang or display, as appropriate for the media (mounted, matted, and/or framed with strong screw eyes and wire.) Deadlines: Entries must be received by August 15th, 2008.

The artist will be notified of acceptance. Work must be hand delivered and picked up the day of the festival by the artist. Entries received after 10 am cannot be guaranteed hanging space. At 7pm the gallery closes. Artist must retrieve works by 9pm; any works left will not be the responsibility of the gallery, the Festival organizers or Martinez Waterfront Park.

Insurance/Liability: All due care will be taken with slides, photographs, and original art work; however, PEOPLE Festival, Martinez Waterfront and sponsors will not assume any liability for loss or damage however caused.
